.........."One of Acadiana's best offerings for kids!" - Jane Vidrine ..........

Dear Parents and Coaches:

The summer is quickly approaching and it is now time to begin planning your child's summer activities.  As we have done for the past seventeen years, my coaches and I would like to invite your child to participate in the Just 4 kicks Soccer Camp.  Our camp is designed to teach each child who attends the fundamentals of soccer.  Each camper will be taught the proper way to pass, trap, dribble and shoot, as well as crossing, defending, heading and so much more!  By allowing them to attend our camp, you will be giving them the opportunity to improve their soccer skills while having fun.

This year we will be offering four weeks, including two weeks of goalkeeper camp.  Each session is open to boys and girls between the ages of four and fourteen.  Each camp will be from 8:30 to 12:00 each day.  This year's camp will be held at Lafayette Middle School, which is located at 1301 W. University Ave., in Lafayette.  As usual, transportation is provided.  Schedules are listed above.

The cost of the week long camp is $125 per child.  As in the past, we offer a discount for individuals who wish to attend multiple weeks or families and teams who would like to attend together.  Groups of 3-6 campers who register at the same time will receive a $10 discount off each registration, while groups of 7 or more will each receive $15 off.  In order for the group discount to apply, all registration forms must be sent in together.

Each child who registers will receive transportation, a camp ball, a camp t-shirt, a participation award, a camp photo and a certificate.  In addition, each camper will receive an evaluation from their coach which will highlight their progress and show what areas they need to work on.

All campers are asked to bring their own ball (with their name on it), sun screen (if needed) and refreshments for between sessions, (i.e.. Gatorade, water and snacks).  We will have a water cooler available for anyone interested.  Also, we will be selling candy and chips between sessions.  In the event that your child loses a ball, cooler or t-shirt, please let me know as soon as possible so our staff can try to locate it.

As mentioned above, our goal is to teach your child the fundamentals of soccer.  As a result, the camp will be structured in a way which will ensure that your child is learning.  Each day will be divided into three or four sessions, depending on the heat.  The first two or three sessions will be for instructional purposes.  It is at this time that we will demonstrate and teach them the correct way to pass, trap, dribble and shoot.  The last session of each day will be for scrimmaging and will provide your child with the opportunity to use what he or she has learned in actual game situations.

To register for the Just 4 Kicks Soccer Camp, complete the registration form and return it to the address on the bottom.  If you have any questions about the camp or need additional forms, please feel free to contact me at 988-6039 or 781-5425 or visit our website at www.just4kickssoccercamp.com.  As always, we are looking forward to working with your child.

Keep Kicking,

David Chaney
